Compensate is looking for content freelancers

Compensate is a non-profit impact startup that combats climate change by offering everyone easy access to carbon capture. Compensate works with both consumers and businesses in Finland, Europe and beyond.

Do you love writing and storytelling? Do you know your way around social media, blogs, newsletters and social ads? Compensate is looking for fully remote content freelancers to support its Growth team. 

What you’ll be doing:
  • Ideate and write blog posts and newsletters that support Compensate’s overall strategy

  • Create informational, persuasive content to social media, websites, ads, and presentations

What you’ll need:
  • Excellent writing skills in both English and Finnish

  • Love for the deadline

  • Quick to learn and adapt

  • High interest in climate issues and sustainability

  • Ability to work independently, and to communicate well with others, particularly in a remote working environment

  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines

  • Attention to detail and problem solving mindset

  • Knowledge of Google Docs, Drive, and content management softwares

  • Basic understanding of SEO and accessibility guidelines

It’s a plus if you also:
  • Have previous experience with SEO, growth hacking, social media marketing and/or content marketing

  • Know other languages

  • Know your way around Photoshop, Lightroom, or other similar software

  • Have previous knowledge of offsetting, carbon capture, sustainability and climate issues
